A temporary dispensation has been applied to the assessment plan version ST0352/AP01 for this apprenticeship. The dispensation will last until the revised EPA plan is published or the dispensation is no longer necessary. End-point assessment organisations (EPAOs) delivering EPAs for the apprenticeship will implement the dispensation as required, supported and monitored by the relevant EQA provider. The key changes are: Assessment Method – Practical assessment Reduced unnecessary duplication of KSB assessment and ensure EPA meets occupational competence requirements, by streamlining the tasks assessed in the practical assessment. Reduces the assessment burden on apprentices from 34 hrs to 21 hrs."
This is the revised version that has been agreed and is available for information only at present. It will replace the v1.0 for new starts from 17th November 2025 with a funding band of £18,000. Further details of this and other apprenticeships in revision are available in the revision's status report.

Change request policy
Most changes to an apprenticeship are made as a result of a holistic review of it. We prioritise the need for such reviews based on a range of factors. These include:
the time since the apprenticeship was developed or last reviewed (taking account of its typical duration)
the existence of any known problems with it (e.g. lower than expected starts, low achievement rate, high withdrawal rate, any issues with the availability of training or end-point assessment provision)
whether the apprenticeship is currently subject to a dispensation
the relative significance of the apprenticeship based on how many users it has
The availability of an employer group to support a review and its potential impact on any related technical education product also inform the timing of a review.
Details of apprenticeships that are currently being revised or adjusted are available in our revisions and adjustments status report.
