Royal apprenticeships

These are Green apprenticeships which have been hand-picked by industry experts to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III.

This standard included a transition arrangement for the minimum off‑the‑job training requirement for learners starting between 1 August and 31 December 2025.

A temporary dispensation has been applied to the assessment plan version ST1020/V1.1 and ST1020/V1.2 for this apprenticeship. The dispensation will run indefinitely until all apprentices registered to ST1020/V1.1 and ST1020V1.2 only, are complete. The dispensation may be withdrawn if no longer necessary.
End-point assessment organisations (EPAOs) delivering EPAs for the apprenticeship will implement the dispensation as required, supported, and monitored by the relevant EQA provider.

The key changes are:

To allow assessment method 1, ‘practical assessment with questions’ to be carried out over a minimum of 18 hours and over 3 working days.
